To  my good friends who can’t read Hebrew.

Friends,

You have been exposed to my growing disgust of Israeli politics over the years.  This is the first time in many years that there’s a cool breeze of hope in the hardworking, tax paying, military serving Israeli middle class.  Finally, someone picked up the feeling of distrust and hopelessness and take it to the people.  Yair Lapid is a lifelong journalist and writer.  Over the years he published 11 books, wrote countless columns, and anchored an outstanding number of TV current event TV shows.  He is smart, clever, articulate.  He is knowledgeable.  And for some reason, I trust him.  And when it comes with the growing feeling that I trust no other politician in Israel, I think I got myself a winner.

Israeli internal politics may not be of great interest to you.  But my friends, it should.  Israel is located smack in the Middle East.  Yes, that area of the world where Syria, Libya, Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, and everyone’s good friend: Iran.  In the coming years, decision made in Israel will have great or grave effect for the entire world.  Peace with the Palestinians, disarming Iran from nuclear potential, harmony in the Middle East, are issues at the heart of the discussion of our future as human beings.

Please pay attention to Yair Lapid.  He may be the one person who can actually make a difference.
