Some relevant additional points: * The Myanmar government doesn't have many supporters in the world because of the way they abuse their people. Unfortunately, one of the few friends they have in the world is the government of China. * The Myanmar disaster is much larger - over 100,000 dead and over 1 million homeless. * If this earthquake had happened in the 70s, the outside world would not be welcome to help, or to see the impact in China. Things *can* change, and for the better! PRC government could do a lot to encourage the Myanmar government to allow in outside help. Why don't they?
